Banks and ATMs at Tulum Airport
How to get cash when you arrive at Tulum Airport: ATMs, fees and safety tips.
Having Mexican pesos is useful for paying for transportation and tips when you leave the airport. If you plan to withdraw cash, consider fees and your card’s limits.
When using an ATM
- Choose bank ATMs inside buildings and during daytime.
- The ATM shows the fee before completing the withdrawal; you can cancel if it is not worth it.
- If the ATM offers to convert the charge to your home currency, choose to be charged in pesos: it is usually cheaper.
- Tell your bank you will be traveling to Mexico to avoid card blocks.
Downtown Tulum has bank branches and exchange offices. See currency exchange.
