Customs and Immigration at Tulum Airport

International arrival formalities at Tulum Airport: immigration, digital FMM, customs, duty-free allowance and SENASICA inspection.

Mexico’s National Immigration Institute (INM), National Customs Agency (ANAM), SENASICA and International Health officers operate at the airport. All international passengers go through these controls on arrival.

Immigration

The immigration officer checks and stamps your passport. Foreign visitors obtain the digital Multiple Immigration Form (FMM) through the QR code provided at the checkpoint or on the INM website; it is downloaded only once and you should keep it for your entire stay.

Customs

After collecting your bags you will go through customs. Passengers arriving on international flights may bring, in addition to personal belongings, goods worth up to USD 500 without paying duties. Cash over USD 10,000 or its equivalent must be declared.

Agricultural products

SENASICA inspects food, plants, animal products and pets. Declare these items to avoid penalties.

The airport has no U.S. preclearance: entry formalities for the United States take place when you arrive at your destination.
